CURAD has partnered with Challenge worldwide (CWW) to enhance the student internship and placement component.

During the last quarter of 2014, CURAD received fourteen volunteers from CWW under the International Citizen Service –Entrepreneur programme lead by the country director Herbert Akampwera.

The volunteers/intern offered support to various CURAD incubatees. Six provided support and mentorship to CURAD incubatees like Mushroom Tec, Orga Farm Ltd and Joaug LTD. They spent one week at each of the 3 firms developing financial and accounting tools for the incubatees. The tools developed included, wage spreadsheets, expenditure spreadsheets, purchase note, fund request forms, production forms, budget sheets and business plan development. They also visited previous incubatees that they had supported earlier. These are Mak seeds, Sarmalina beverages international and Atamba farm.

Ten interns have graduated with CWW partnership.

This partnership has played a great role in improving theincubatee business management practices.
