Academic qualifications and work profile: Born 18th January 1958, Kyamanywa obtained a B. Sc. Agriculture (Honours: Second class Upper division) Makerere University in 1980, and Ph.D (Agricultural Entomology) degree of Makerere University in1987 under the African Regional Post graduate Programme in Insect Science (ARPPIS) at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) – Nairobi Kenya.

Mr. Joseph Nkandu

CURAD's Founding Entrepreneur and First Managing Director, Mr. Joseph Nkandu. Joseph is the Executive Director of NUCAFE. He is an Agribusisiness Practitioner, a coffee farmer and broadly a social entrepreneur. He holds a BSc in Agriculture, an MBA and is currently a PhD scholar in Business Administration specialising in Entrepreneurship. Joseph is a specialist in agricultural value chain development, development of farmer organisations into lucrative businesses, export marketing, agribusiness incubation services and partnership building.

Ann Marie Mwaka Sabano

Bsc. Agric (Hons) from Makerere University, MBA (Project Planning) from Makerere University Business School, Certificate in Financial Counseling by the International Trade Centre –UN.

Ann Marie has over 8 years experience in various positions in agricultural finance and is currently the Manager Agricultural Credit with Centenary Rural Development Bank Ltd, the leading microfinance bank in Uganda. She has proven skills in inclusive finance consultancy, having worked as an independent consultant and trainer on a number of projects focusing on access to finance by minority and unbanked groups. Ann is also a coffee farmer.

Florence Nagawa

Florence is an Agriculturalist by profession with close to 15 years working experience in agriculture research, rural development work in sustainable and organic agriculture, natural resource management with community participation, and agribusiness sector.

Florence has worked as a Project Leader and Consultant in the agribusiness sector for close to eight years now, supporting farmer organisations to promote productivity, quality improvements, and facilitating collective marketing for domestic and international markets. Florence has solid experience supporting value chain organisation, linking value chain actors like farmers and buyers.  She has specifically worked with organised farmer organisations and agribusiness export orientated companies in Uganda dealing in the coffee, tea, cocoa, honey, essential oils production, vanilla, and the horticulture sector.
